Lithuania’s industrial production decreased by 0.8% year-on-year in January 2026, following a downwardly revised 3.6% increase in December 2025, and registering its weakest performance since August 2025. Output fell markedly in both manufacturing (-0.7% vs 3.6% in December 2025) and mining and quarrying (-44.9% vs 5.7%). By contrast, activity rebounded in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector (21.6% vs -12.2%), while the contraction in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities eased slightly (-10.1% vs -10.6%). On a monthly basis, industrial production rose by 2.6% in January, recovering from a 0.3% decline in the previous month.
