31.07.202606:45:00UTC+00French Producer Prices Slide Further in June, Deepening Deflationary Trend

France’s producer price index (PPI) fell more sharply in June 2026, underscoring mounting price pressures on the country’s industrial sector. According to data updated on 31 July 2026, PPI declined by 0.6% month-over-month, following a 0.2% decrease in May 2026.

The data, measured on a month-over-month basis, show that June’s drop intensified the deflationary trend in producer prices compared with the previous month’s more moderate fall. While the figures do not capture year-on-year movements, the back-to-back declines suggest sustained downward pressure on prices at the factory gate, a development that can influence corporate margins and potentially feed through to consumer inflation in the months ahead.
