Indonesia’s consumer confidence index declined to 116.8 in July 2026 from 117.8 in June, reaching its lowest level since April 2025. The moderation was mainly driven by weaker views on current economic conditions, which fell 1.3 points to 107.9. Sentiment toward purchases of durable goods also softened, dropping 1.8 points to 104.1, while perceptions of job availability over the past six months slipped 0.7 points to 101.1.

Meanwhile, expectations for income over the next six months were unchanged at 133.6. In contrast, expectations for job availability declined 1.3 points to 123.1, and expectations for business activity eased 0.8 points to 120.4. Despite the overall moderation, the index remained in optimistic territory, indicating that consumer confidence stayed positive, underpinned by relatively strong assessments of current economic conditions and generally favorable expectations for the outlook.
